Our Mission Statement |
Here at Eureka High School, we strive to encompass the diversity and beauty that exists on the North Coast. Humboldt County has more artists per capita than any other county in California, and our community actively supports our programs. Our goal is to provide your student with a strong foundation of both 3-Dimensional and 2-Dimensional skills in addition to supporting the Common Core. We will focus on The Elements and Principles of Design, which gives your student the tools to be creative and competitive. Additionally, the California State Standards in Visual Art will give your student a greater appreciation for Art, Culture, and Creative Expression in a variety of industries. Our department also offers an Visual Art Pathway, which will give your student additional experience developing a portfolio, exhibiting artwork, and also awards your student a Cord of Merit at graduation.
